NJHN October 27 Program [Hybrid]: Nick Fish, American Atheists: Rising to the Moment

Our speaker this month is Nick Fish, President of American Atheists. Nick’s talk title is Rising to the Moment: Our Role in Stopping Religious Nationalism, Protecting Democracy, and Standing Up for Human Rights.

Faced with the rise of White Christian Nationalism in the United States, and religious nationalism across the globe, atheists, humanists, and other secularists must be at the forefront of the fight to protect our values — and democracy itself — wherever it is under threat.

Since 2018, Nick Fish has served as the president of American Atheists. Nick first joined American Atheists in 2012 and has spent 15 years defending the separation of religion and government, advocating for equality under the law, and protecting civil rights for all Americans.

This is a hybrid event in-person at the Monroe Twp Public Library in Monroe Twp and via Zoom. Nick will present at the library. For Zoom participants, register in advance at:

The program will start at 1:30 PM in the Program Room. A Q&A session will follow the talk. Free and open to the public. Please feel free to share the event with anyone you think would be interested. Everyone is welcome to join us after the meeting for an early dinner at a local restaurant.
