Join us for our second program this month.
A speaker with the Alice Paul Institute (API) will present a 15-minute video program about the life of New Jersey’s own Alice Stokes Paul, one of the most influential women in 20th-century America, leading the final fight for women’s suffrage and championing equal rights for women through most of the 20th century. A Q&A will follow.
Then, we will air the documentary: Period. End of Sentence.
A period should end a sentence, not a girl’s education.
In rural India, where the stigma of menstruation persists, women make low-cost sanitary pads on a new machine and stride toward financial independence.
2018 winner of the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Film.
Runtime 26 mins, rated TV-PG.
This event will not be recorded.
The API talk will start at 2:00pm
