NJHN April 26 Program: Building Community, Changing Lives: Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity

Our speaker this month is Jillian Kessler, Community Outreach & Volunteer Manager at Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity, which is working to create safe, affordable housing solutions for families in our communities. Jillian will provide an inside look at their core programs, including home construction, home repairs, and their two ReStore operations in Manville and Clinton, and how each helps strengthen communities across Somerset and Hunterdon Counties.

Jillian will also share information about the many ways to get involved, from volunteering on a build site or in the ReStores, to supporting through donations, sponsorships, and advocacy. Individuals, corporate groups, and community organizations like NJHN have meaningful opportunities to make a lasting impact. Join us to discover how, together, all of us can help build homes, communities, and hope.

This is a hybrid event in-person at the Franklin Twp Public Library in Somerset and via Zoom. Jillian will present in-person at the library. For Zoom participants, register in advance at:

After registering you’ll receive a confirmation email from Zoom with the link to join the meeting.

The program will start at 1:30 PM in the Community Room (to the right just inside the front entrance) and a Q&A session will follow the talk. Free and open to the public. Please feel free to share the event with anyone you think would be interested. Everyone is welcome to join us for an early dinner at a local restaurant after the meeting.
