Our speaker this month is Sarah Frey, Grassroots Coordinator, Secular Coalition for America (SCA).

SCA is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to amplifying the diverse and growing voice of the nontheistic community in the United States. Its 19 voting coalition member organizations are established 501(c)(3) nonprofits who serve atheists, agnostics, humanists, freethinkers and other nontheistic Americans. Its mission is to increase the visibility of and respect for nontheistic viewpoints in the United States, and to protect and strengthen the secular character of our government as the best guarantee of freedom for all.

Sarah Frey is a New Jersey native and joined the SCA as its Grassroots Coordinator in April 2018. She has a background in working on political campaigns and issue-based community organizing efforts.

Sarah will be talking about the SCA’s three Grassroots programs for secular voters: Secular America Votes, Rapid Response Network, and Party Crashers. She’ll provide step-by-step information on how we can get involved, how to craft our message, how to engage with volunteers and the public, and how to make sure both Congress and our State Legislature view the secular community as an important constituency. The program will start at 1:30pm in the Community Room (on the right just inside the front entrance).

Free and open to the public. Refreshments provided. After the meeting, everyone is welcome to join us for an early dinner at 4pm at Ruby Tuesday, 250 Davidson Ave, Somerset.
